Dog Pen Hotdogs

Dog Pen Hotdogs is a Food Cart here in Bowling Green that is one of the few Covid 19 positive stories. We moved to the South from New York five years ago with our Music Industry Newspaper first landing in Nashville for a year before moving to Bowling Green, KY which is where we now call home for over four years now. Originally, we leased a piece of the old Pet Evaporated Milk Complex on Church Street with a vision of building Hourly Rehearsal Rooms for the local bands and run our Music Newspaper out of. After eight months and quite a bit of money we had two very successful Grand Opening Celebrations, took out advertising on the radio and did several interviews. Two weeks after we opened Covid hit and we were shut down before we could even get started. At that point, Scott Roy, the owner or Rock Shop Times, decided to use his talent of wood creations and decided to build a Hotdog Cart just like you would see in New York City on every corner. We do miss some of the foods from New York so we decided to bring Authentic NY Hotdogs here to Kentucky and Dog Pen Hotdogs was born. We are in our currently in our fourth season and we thank Bowling Green for supporting us through it all. We did venture off and opened a Brick and Mortar in Scottsville just recently and learned quickly that not every city has the heart that Bowling Green does and it was an expensive lesson. We will continue to forge forward and hope that we can once again open a Restaurant to bring an expanded New York and Authentic Italian food here to our faithful customers of Bowling Green.
